According to this invention, in a digital key telephone system which is connected to a digital network via a digital channel, a transmission error which has occurred on the digital channel is detected, and upon detection of the transmission error, information representing the transmission error is stored in an error table. When a display request of a transmission error is input from a digital key telephone, error information stored in the error table is read out, the readout information is transferred to the digital key telephone, and the information is displayed on a display of the telephone.

Lorsqu'une demande d'affichage d'une erreur de transmission est entrée à partir d'un téléphone numérique à poussoirs, l'information d'erreur stockée dans la table d'erreurs est lue, transférée au téléphone numérique à poussoirs, puis affichée sur un afficheur du téléphone.
