ABSTRACT A holding strip for exchangeable information carriers includes a fastening member for fastening it to the edge regions of shelves, containers and the like. The strip further includes a receiving pocket, attachable to the fastening member, for the information carriers which are formed by the rear wall and by a transparent front wall, with the rear wall and the front wall being hinged together at the base and with the upper edge of the rear wall gripping the free edge of the front wall in a covering manner. The strip is characterized in that a band shaped, flexible connecting element is arranged between the fastening member and the rear wall. The connecting element has longitudinally extending free end regions connected on the one side in a force-locking manner with the fastening member and on the other side with the rear wall. The connecting element spans, with its middle region, the distance between the fastening member and the rear wall in a supporting manner.
