-20 - The present invention. comprises one or more anti-drift stabilizers mounted on the leading edge of a snow plow's blade. These stabilizers are mounted at an angle that is in the same direction as the angle of the snowplow in relation to the plow truck. As snow or other media is channeled to one side of a plow blade it exerts a force in the opposite direction thus tending to cause a plow to want to knife or drift in a direction opposite where the snow or other media is being deposited by the blade. As snow or other media passes over the surfaces of the stabilizers it exerts pressure that is opposite to, and counteracts the knifing action created at the emptying end of the plow be the accumulation of snow. The result of this is that the plow can be operated safely without the need to make constant corrections for the knifing and without the added danger of the inattentive operator being pulled from the roadway or into oncoming traffic and causing property damage or personal injury.
La présente invention porte sur un ou plusieurs stabilisateurs antidérive montés sur le bord d'attaque de la lame d'un chasse-neige. Les stabilisateurs sont montés à un angle qui va dans le même sens que l'angle de la lame par rapport au camion chasse-neige. Quand la neige ou un autre élément est canalisé vers un côté de la lame du chasse-neige, ceci exerce une force dans la direction opposée et entraîne le chasse-neige à se déporter ou à dériver dans une direction opposée à celle où la neige ou un autre élément est déposé par la lame. Quand la neige ou un autre élément passe sur les surfaces des stabilisateurs, il exerce une pression qui s'oppose à l'action de dérive créée au bout de décharge du chasse-neige par l'accumulation de la neige. Il en résulte qu'on peut conduire le chasse-neige en toute sécurité sans avoir à corriger constamment l'effet de dérive et sans le danger accru pour le chauffeur inattentif d'être tiré hors de la route ou vers le trafic venant en sens inverse, avec les dommages et les blessures qui peuvent en découler.
