A corner conveyor unit (6), for use in transferring movement from a conveyor operating in the direction A to another conveyor operating in the direction B, comprises a plurality of frusto conical rollers (10) mounted for rotation between inner and outer curved walls (12, 14). Means is provided to urge the outermost frusto conical rollers in a separative direction, maintaining tension on the conveyor belt (16). Means is provided to restrain the conveyor belt (16) against movement in a direction C inwardly of the corner unit, said means comprising a plurality of roller assemblies (18) disposed around the outer edge region of the belt (16), each roller assembly (18) comprising a pair of roller members (20) engaged with upper and lower trackways (22, 24). Each trackway comprises an upper part a and a lower part b, against which the upper and lower roller members (20) of each pair engage. To facilitate belt changing, the trackway parts (22a, 24a) may be separated form the trackway parts (22b, 24b), allowing the roller assemblies (18) to pass between the trackway parts, allowing the conveyor belt to be drawn inwardly of the corner unit.

Unité de convoyeur à coin (6) utilisée pour tranférer le mouvement d'un convoyeur fonctionnant dans le sens A à un autre convoyeur fonctionnant dans le sens B, comprenant plusieurs rouleaux tronconiques (10) montés pour tourner entre des parois cintrées interne et externe (12, 14). Un dispositif est prévu pour solliciter les rouleaux tronconiques extérieurs dans un sens séparateur, tout en maintenant la tension sur la bande (16) du convoyeur. Un autre dispositif est préu pour empêcher la bande (16) de partir dans le sens C vers l'intérieur de l'unité de coin, ce dispositif comprenant plusieurs ensembles rouleaux (18) placés autour de la région du bord extérieur de la bande (16), chaque ensemble rouleau (18) comprenant une paire de rouleaux (20) en contact avec des rails supérieur et inférieur (22, 24). Chaque rail comprend une partie supérieure <u>a</u> et une partie inférieure <u>b</u>, contre lesquelles se positionnent les rouleaux (20) supérieur et inférieur de chaque paire. Pour faciliter le changement de bande on peut séparer les parties de rails (22<u>a</u>, 24<u>a</u>) des parties de rails (22<u>b</u>, 24<u>b</u>), pour permettre aux ensembles rouleaux (18) de passer entre les parties de rails et pouvoir ainsi sortir la bande du dispositif de transport à l'intérieur de l'unité de coin.
