A vehicle seal assembly incorporates an integrated attachment feature to secure a flexible seal to closely spaced inner and outer body panels joined along a flange region. First and second spaced openings are aligned in a direction extending from the flange region. The seal assembly includes a generally planar portion having a finger secured at one end and extending outwardly in a generally parallel direction to the planar portion. The finger extends through the first opening and directs the seal assembly as the seal assembly is advanced toward the second opening where a retaining member snap fits therethrough for retaining the weatherstrip to the body panel.

L'invention concerne un ensemble de joint de véhicule comportant un élément de fixation intégré pour fixer un joint flexible à des panneaux de carrosserie intérieurs et extérieurs, situés à un écart faible les uns par rapport aux autres, reliés le long d'une zone de rebord. Une première et une deuxième ouverture espacées sont alignées dans une direction s'étendant à partir de la zone de rebord. L'ensemble de joint comporte une partie essentiellement plane présentant un doigt fixé à une extrémité et s'étendant vers l'extérieur dans une direction essentiellement parallèle à la partie plane. Le doigt s'étend au travers de la première ouverture et dirige l'ensemble de joint lorsque celui-ci est déplacé vers l'avant en direction de la deuxième ouverture où un élément de retenue s'encastre dans la deuxième ouverture afin de retenir le bourrelet d'étanchéité dans le panneau de carrosserie.
