To communicate requirements for a digital license from a receiver of corresponding digital content to a computing device upon which the digital content is to be rendered, the receiver tunes the content and locates within the content information relating to the requirements for the license, constructs the requirements from the located information, and sends such constructed requirements to the computing device. The computing device upon receiving the sent requirements constructs the license based on such received requirements, stores such constructed license in a license store of such computing device, and thereafter renders the content only in accordance with the license. Thus, the receiver need not communicate the license itself to the computing device.

L'invention vise à communiquer des exigences d'une licence numérique d'un receveur d'un contenu numérique correspondant à un dispositif informatique qui doit restituer le contenu numérique. A cet effet, le receveur accorde le contenu et le localise dans les informations de contenu liées aux exigences de la license ; il créée les exigences à partir des informations localisées et envoie les exigences ainsi créées au dispositif de calcul. A réception des exigences envoyées, le dispositif de calcul créée la licence sur la base de telles exigences reçues, enregistre une telle licence créée dans une mémoire de licences d'un tel dispositif de calcul puis restitue le contenu seulement en conformité avec la licence. Ainsi le receveur n'a pas besoin de communiquer la licence lui-même au dispositif de calcul.
