ABSTRACT It was found that the use of a phospholipid dependent prothrombin activator purified from the venom of snakes belonging to the Elapidae family, especially members of the Oxyuranus and Pseudonaja genera is most useful in tests for the determination of Lupos Anticoagulant. Based on this, several clotting, chromogenic and immunochromogenic tests have been developed.
