A device is provided for transferring a patient from a first to a second surface, comprising a sheet of flexible material (such as fire resistant woven nylon fabric), having first and second opposed longitudinal edges, for bearing the patient during the transfer operation, at least one handle disposed generally at each said longitudinal edge for enabling an operator to transfer the device bearing the patient from the first to the second surface, and at least one handle intermediate the said longitudinal edges, for facilitating the said transfer operation and for facilitating the removal of the device from beneath the patient once the transfer operation is complete.
On décrit un dispositif permettant de transférer un patient d'une première surface sur une deuxième surface; ce dispositif comprenant une feuille de matériau souple (tel qu'un tissu en nylon tissé résistant au feu), comportant des premier et deuxième bords longitudinaux opposés, destinée à supporter le patient pendant l'opération de transfert, au moins une poignée disposée globalement au niveau de chaque bord longitudinal pour permettre à un opérateur de transférer le dispositif supportant le patient de la première à la deuxième surface, et au moins une poignée située à mi-chemin entre lesdits bords longitudinaux qui sert à faciliter l'opération de transfert et à faciliter l'enlèvement du dispositif de sous le patient lorsque l'opération de transfert est terminée.
