2113205 9302256 PCTABS00019 An arrangement (10) for containing oil spillage comprises an inflatable boom (11) and suspended in the water therefrom an anti-pollution skirt (20) and/or a deformable tube (72), cables (21, 22) and a generally horizontal membrane (31) to restrict movement of the boom. The boom may be deployed in an uninflated condition and then inflated from an adjacent buoy (50). The deformable tube (72) is arranged to pump fluid in response to forces on the cables (21) caused by motion of the water.
