The system is capable of maintaining an entropy characteristic equal to at least the condensing pressure of the lowest entropy gas of the gases constituting a processed effluent gas discharge. There is also provided a hollow, annular jacket (50) having a surface in thermal communication with the pressure vessel (30), the jacket (50) having an axis in substantial alignment with the gravity vector and the jacket including a fluid input (48) and fluid output (25).
