A mounting support for electrical switches and associated legend plates. With the use of the mounting support, legend plates of electrical switches can be assembled more quickly and less expensively and for this purpose a housing cover of an electric switch includes, on one side, a lateral projecting arm that abuts the rear face of an indicator board, with the projecting arm preferably including a pedestal which extends into an opening of the indicator board, and the legend plate overlaying a pedestal and being laterally guided within an opening in the indicator board, wherein the legend plate is bolted to the projecting arm by means of a threaded bolt attached to the projecting arm.
