ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A surgical cast venting device for positioning on a layer of stockingnette on a patient's limb under a cast, the device comprising a flexible base portion have several parallel elongated channels arranged in side by side relation in alternating upward and downward facing directions. A flexible closure engaging the upward facing channels so as to form air passage- ways therein and an air supply opening in said closure communicating with the parallel elongated channels. Apertures interconnecting the parallel elongated channels which have common side walls with the apertures being in the common side walls so that air supplied through said opening flows through said parallel elongated channels for delivery to the layer of stockingnette on the patient's limb.
