ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of forming a card from a material web having a backing sheet, an adhesive layer on one surface of said backing sheet and a removable liner overlying said one surface of said backing sheet comprising the steps of a) slitting said liner between longitudinal edges of said web to define at least a pair of spaced portions of said liner, b) removing at least one of said portions to expose a corresponding portion of said adhesive layer, c) applying one surface of a card stock to said exposed portion of said adhesive layer, to adhere said card stock to said backing sheet, whereby, upon removal of another portion of said liner, said backing layer may be folded over said card stock to bring the adhesive layer associated therewith into contact with another surface of said card stock to adhere thereto and thereby protect said other surface.
