The invention provides at least a composition for the treatment of elevated levels of triglycerides, comprising a therapeutically effective amount of fenofibrate or another fibrate drug intimately associated with menthol or a surfactant mixture, wherein the menthol can be menthol or menthol surfactant mixture, and wherein the surfactant mixture can be a mixture of a polyethylene glycol and a ploxamer such as PGE (1000) and poloxamer (407). The invention also provides a method for the treatment of elevated levels of triglycerides in a subject, comprising administering to the subject a composition comprising a therapeutically effective amount of fenofibrate or another fibrate drug and menthol or a surfactant mixture, wherein the fenofibrate or the other fibrate drug is in intimate association with the menthol or surfactant mixture, wherein the menthol can be menthol or menthol surfactant mixture, and wherein the surfactant mixture can be a mixture of a polyethylene glycol and a poloxamer such as PGE (1000) and poloxamer (407).
La présente invention se rapporte au moins à une composition servant au traitement de niveaux élevés de triglycérides et comprenant une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace de fénofibrate ou d'un autre médicament à base de fibrate étroitement associé à du menthol ou à un mélange tensioactif, le menthol pouvant être du menthol ou un mélange tensioactif à base de menthol, le mélange tensioactif pouvant être un mélange d'un polyéthylène glycol et d'un poloxamère, par exemple de PEG 1000 et de poloxamère 467. Cette invention concerne également une méthode de traitement de niveaux élevés de triglycérides chez un sujet, laquelle méthode consiste à administrer au sujet une composition comprenant une quantité thérapeutiquement efficace de fénofibrate ou d'un autre médicament à base de fibrate et du menthol ou un mélange tensioactif, le fénofibrate ou l'autre médicament à base de fibrate étant étroitement associé au menthol ou au mélange tensioactif, le menthol pouvant être un menthol ou un mélange tensioactif à base de menthol, le mélange tensioactif pouvant être un mélange d'un polyéthylène glycol et d'un poloxamère, par exemple de PEG 1000 et de poloxamère 407.
