Methods and an apparatus are described whereby Internet content is coordinated with audio communications, such that two or more parties can view the same media content on the Internet while also simultaneously communicating over a traditional telephony network or by using voice over network implementations. The visual interaction is achieved by having a user computer display shared content that correspond to a second computer's display, such that both parties will be viewing a copy containing the same content on each of their browsers. The visual interaction further provides a method for allowing either of the parties to update the visual content of their browsers. In a further embodiment the resource collection functions of the user computer are enhanced by having the server only download to the user computer a user applet containing the information required by the user computer as is necessary. In this way, the user computer does not have to wait as long or dedicate resources to the visual interaction that are not necessary at the time. In a further embodiment this method works through firewalls on the network.
L'invention a trait à des procédés, ainsi qu'à l'appareil correspondant, permettant de coordonner un contenu d'Internet et des communications vocales, de sorte que deux parties, ou plus, sont en mesure de visualiser le même contenu de média sur Internet sans cesser de communiquer sur un réseau téléphonique classique ou à l'aide de signaux vocaux sur des configurations de réseau. L'interaction visuelle est rendue possible grâce à l'affichage d'un contenu partagé par un ordinateur utilisateur en correspondance avec une seconde unité de visualisation informatique, ce qui permet aux deux parties de visualiser une copie ayant le même contenu sur chacun des deux navigateurs. Cette interaction visuelle offre, de surcroît, aux deux parties, la possibilité d'actualiser le contenu visuel de leurs navigateurs. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, les fonctions de collecte de ressources de l'ordinateur utilisateur sont renforcées par le fait que le serveur ne télécharge vers l'ordinateur utilisateur une mini-application utilisateur contenant l'information qu'il a demandée que si cela s'impose. De cette façon, l'ordinateur utilisateur n'a pas à attendre aussi longtemps qu'auparavant ni à affecter à l'interaction visuelle des ressources qui ne s'imposent pas à ce moment là. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, ce procédé est appliqué par le biais de logiciels de filtrage sur le réseau.
