The present invention relates to topical aromatic releasing compositions substantially free from petrolatum and containing one or more volatile aromatic compounds selected from the group consisting of menthol, camphor and eucalyptus oil and mixtures thereof. In further embodiments, these compositions contain one or more topical actives, and are also useful for providing relief from symptoms associatd with respiratory disorders.

L'invention concerne des compositions topiques à libération aromatique essentiellement exemptes de vaseline et contenant au moins un composé aromatique volatile choisi dans le groupe constitué du menthol, du camphre et de l'huile d'eucalyptus et de mélanges correspondants. Dans d'autres versions, ces compositions contiennent au moins un ingrédient actif topique et sont aussi très utiles pour soulager les symptômes associés aux troubles respiratoires.
