A road guide server (1) stores a three-dimensional image, for which a reference orientation is defined, in a three-dimensional image DB in association with intersections included in road information. The road information is stored in the map DB of a map data server (2) as information including information concerning the road and information concerning the intersections on the road. In response to a request from a user terminal (3) connected through a network (9), the road guide server (1) reads out the three- dimensional image of a specified intersection from the three-dimensional image DB, and creates an intersection guide image in the three-dimensional image thus read out by synthesizing symbols indicating the traveling road of the user according to a guide course searched by the map data server (2) based on the road information. The road guide server (1) transmits the intersection guide image thus created to the user terminal (3). Upon receiving the intersection guide image transmitted from the road guide server (1), the user terminal (3) displays the received three-dimensional guide image such that the display orientation can be altered.
Cette invention concerne un serveur de guidage routier (1) chargé de stocker une image tridimensionnelle, pour laquelle une orientation de référence est définie, dans une base de données d'images tridimensionnelles conjointement à des intersections comprises dans des informations routières. Les informations routières sont stockées dans la base de données cartographiques d'un serveur de données cartographiques (2) de même que des informations comprenant des informations relatives à la route et des informations relatives aux intersections situées sur la route. En réponse à une demande provenant d'un terminal utilisateur (3) connecté à un réseau (9), le serveur de guidage routier (1) affiche l'image tridimensionnelle d'une intersection spécifiée à partir de la base de données d'images tridimensionnelles et crée une image de guidage d'intersection dans l'image tridimensionnelle ainsi affichée en synthétisant les symboles indiquant l'itinéraire de l'utilisateur conformément à un parcours de guidage recherché par le serveur de données cartographiques (2) sur la base des informations routières. Le serveur de guidage routier (1) transmet l'image de guidage d'intersection ainsi créée au terminal utilisateur (3). Dès réception de l'image de guidage d'intersection transmise par le serveur de guidage routier (1), le terminal utilisateur (3) affiche l'image de guidage tridimensionnelle reçue de façon que l'orientation de l'affichage puisse être modifiée.
