This invention is a process for oxidizing an organic compound with a hydrogen peroxide solution produced by reacting hydrogen and oxygen in the presence of an oxidation catalyst. The hydrogen peroxide is produced by reacting hydrogen and oxygen in a solvent in the presence of a H2O2-producing catalyst comprising a polymer-encapsulated combination of a noble metal and an ion- exchange resin. Polymer encapsulation of the H2O2-producing catalyst improves its productivity in making hydrogen peroxide and is expected to reduce metal loss.

Cette invention concerne un procédé d~oxydation d'un composé organique avec une solution de peroxyde d'hydrogène obtenue par réaction d'hydrogène et d'oxygène en présence d'un catalyseur d'oxydation. Le peroxyde d'hydrogène est obtenu par réaction d~hydrogène et d~oxygène dans un solvant en présence d~un catalyseur produisant H2O2 comprenant un mélange encapsulé dans un polymère d~un métal noble et d~une résine échangeuse d~ions. L~encapsulation dans un polymère du catalyseur produisant H2O2 permet d~améliorer sa productivité lors de la production de peroxyde d'hydrogène et il est prévu qu~elle réduise la perte en métal.
