The present invention concerns a composition prepared from a combination of plant oil and/or fish oil and a compound comprising non .beta.-oxidizable fatty acid analogues, and the use of said composition for the preparation of a pharmaceutical or nutritional composition for the prevention and/or treatment of insulin resistance, obesity, diabetes, fatty liver, hypercholesterolemia, dyslipidemia, atherosclerosis, coronary heart disease, thrombosis, stenosis, secondary stenosis, myocardial infarction, stroke, elevated blood pressure, endothelial dysfunction, procoagulant state, polycystic ovary syndrome, the metabolic syndrome, cancer, inflammatory disorders and proliferate skin disorders. The present invention also concerns an animal feed prepared from a combination of plant oil and/or fish oil and a compound comprising non .beta.- oxidizable fatty acid analogues, the use of said feed for improving the body composition of an animal, and a product produced from said animal.
L'invention concerne une composition préparée à partir d'une association d'huile végétale et/ou d'huile de poisson et un composé comprenant des analogues d'acide gras ß-oxydables, et l'utilisation de ladite composition dans la préparation d'une composition pharmaceutique ou nutritive utilisée dans la prévention et/ou le traitement de la résistance à l'insuline, l'obésité, le diabète, la stéatose hépatique, l'hypercholestérolémie, la dyslipidémie, l'athérosclérose, une coronaropathie, la thrombose, la sténose, la sténose secondaire, l'infarctus du myocarde, l'accident vasculaire cérébrale, l'hypertension, un dysfonctionnement endothélial, un état procoagulant, le syndrome de l'ovaire polycystique, le syndrome du métabolisme, le cancer, les troubles inflammatoires, et les troubles cutanés proliférants.
