A utility knife for retractably retaining a replaceable blade with a body, at least two detents connected to the body and a blade adjusting knife retaining fastener mechanism. The body has first and second portions (20, 22) and a major longitudinal dimension. The first and second portions define a cavity for storing at least a portion of the blade. The blade adjusting, knife retaining fastener mechanism (14) extends through the blade adjustment slots (36, 38) of the first and second portions and is coupled to the blade (18). The fastener mechanism is configured to releasably connect the distal ends (32, 34) of the first and second portions of the body without the use of tools, and to releasably engage at least one of the detents (50) and to adjustably extend along the blade adjustments slots without the use of tools. Each engagement of the fastener mechanism to one of the stops defines a distinct position of the blade with respect to the body.
La présente invention concerne un couteau universel permettant de regrouper une lame rétractable interchangeable dans un corps, au moins deux déformations convexes reliées à ce corps et un mécanisme de fermeture d'arrêt de couteau à réglage de lame. Ce corps possède une première et une deuxième partie (20, 22) et une dimension longitudinale principale. La première et la deuxième partie définissent une cavité destinée à stocker au moins une partie de la lame. Le mécanisme (14) de fermeture d'arrêt de couteau à réglage de lame est situé à travers les fentes (36, 38) de réglage de lame de la première et de la deuxième partie et il est relié à la lame (18). Le mécanisme de fermeture est agencé de façon à connecter de manière amovible les extrémités (32, 34) distales des premières et deuxièmes parties du corps sans qu'il soit nécessaire de recourir à des outils, de sorte qu'il s'emboîter de manière amovible dans au moins une des déformations convexes (50) et de sorte qu'il s'étende le long des fentes de réglage de la lame sans qu'il soit nécessaire de recourir à des outils. Chaque contact de ce mécanisme de fermeture avec une des butées définit une position distincte de la lame par rapport au corps.
