Polypeptides having the effects of accelerating morphogenesis of epithelial cells and proliferation thereof, more specifically a polypeptide specified by the N-terminal sequence of the 1st to 103rd amino acids of a human epimorphin and another polypeptide specified by the N-terminal sequence of the 1st to 104th amino acids of a mouse epimorphin; and medicines containing the same as the active ingredient. These polypeptides are water-soluble and useful as the active ingredients of medicines for treating or preventing diseases accompanied by abnormal morphogenesis, such as inflammatory diseases, burn or wound, and medicines for accelerating hair growth.
L'invention concerne des polypeptides accélérant la morphogenèse de cellules épithéliales et leur prolifération, notamment un polypeptide spécifié par la séquence d'extrémité N-terminale des 1er au 103ème acides aminés de l'épimorphine humaine et un autre polypeptide spécifié par la séquence d'extrémité N-terminale des 1er au 104ème acides aminés de l'épimorphine de souris. Elle porte également sur des médicaments contenant lesdits polypeptides en tant que principe actif. Ces polypeptide sont solubles dans l'eau et utiles en tant que principes actifs de médicaments pour le traitement ou la prévention de maladies s'accompagnant d'une morphogenèse anormale, comme des maladies inflammatoires, des brûlures ou des blessures, et de médicaments accélérant la pousse des cheveux.
