A B S T R A C T A precision longitudinal movement transmission cable. This precision longitudinal movement transmission cable comprises a tubular casing (T) formed by an outer sheath (1) and by metal cables (2) concentric to an inner run- ning sheath (3) and a central core (N) provided with an axial reinforcement formed by a metal cable (4). Said core (N) may slide along and rotate about its own axis in the tubular casing (T). The core (N) is formed longitudi- nally with radial projections (5) defining equidistant grooves (6). A metal wire (7) defining longitudinally adjacent compartments (9) is helically wound around the core (N). In each of the compartments there is housed a ball (10) which, when the core (N) slides relative to the tubular casing (T), may roll along said compartment (9).
