A rectangular drawer (30) has an upstanding partition (50) extending between the drawer side walls (34, 36) and dividing the drawer into front and rear compartments. A rectangular tray (70) has a bottom wall (71) and upstanding front (78), rear (77) and opposed side walls (75, 76), the tray side walls having lateral flanges(73, 74) at their upper edges, slidably supported on upper edges of the drawer side walls for movement of the tray between an open and closed positions, respectively uncovering and covering one of the compartments. A key-actuated (108) lock mechanism (100) locks the tray to the partition in the closed position. In one embodiment, the lock mechanism (100) is mounted forwardly of the tray (76) and has a movable latch member movable into engagement in a slot in the partition and, in another embodiment, the latch mechanism is on the partition (50) and the latch member moves into engagement with one of two different slots in the bottom wall of the tray, arranged so that the tray (70) can be reversibly mounted.

Dans un mode de réalisation, le mécanisme de verrouillage est monté sur l'avant du plateau et présente un élément formant loquet déplaçable, que l'on peut déplacer pour que cet élément s'engage dans une fente du cloisonnement et dans un autre mode de réalisation, le mécanisme formant loquet est situé sur le cloisonnement et l'élément formant loquet se déplace afin de pouvoir s'engager dans l'une des deux fentes différentes du fond du plateau, agencées de sorte à ce que le plateau puisse être monté de manière réversible.
