A proximity sensor for determining the gap between a sensor (10) and a metal target which is insensitive to noise, changes in temperature of the sensor and different lengths of wire by measuring the AC conductance, DC conductance and susceptance of the sensor and using the measured values with a predetermined data base to derive the desired gap distance.
L'invention porte sur un capteur de proximité permettant de déterminer l'intervalle entre un capteur (10) et une cible métallique sensible au bruit, aux variations de température du capteur et aux différentes longueurs de câble en mesurant la conductance du courant alternatif, la conductance du courant continu et la susceptance du capteur, et en utilisant les valeurs mesurées avec une base de données prédéterminée de façon à calculer la distance désirée de l'intervalle.
