STARCH BASED BINDER COMPOSITION FOR NON-WOVEN FIBERS OR FABRICS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A binder for non-woven fibers or fabrics is prepared comprising a starch-polymer graft, starch and a starch crosslinking agent. An acrylamide copolymer may optionally be included. The binder is useful for non-woven fibers such as a polyester fiber mat, and particularly single ply, bitumin roofing materials.
