A mixed code, and a method and apparatus for encoding the same are provided. The mixed code includes a first code image region storing a first code image obtained by encoding first information using color, shading, or a combination thereof, and a second code image region storing a second code image obtained by encoding second information using color, shading, or a combination thereof. The first code image and/or the second code image includes the results of encoding interpretation information, construction information, error control information, and code direction information. The mixed code is made by adjusting the difference in color and brightness between the first and second code images to a predetermined level and combining these images. Also Provided are a method and apparatus for decoding a mixed code that is a combination of first and second code images. In the method, a mixed code image is obtained by receiving the original image having the mixed code image and removing noise from the original image. Next, the colors, shades, and brightnesses of pixels of the mixed code image are categorized into groups based on a predetermined threshold, the mixed code image is divided into first and second code images, and first and second information are extracted by decoding the first and second code images, respectively. The first and second code images can be effectively decoded by decoding interpretation information, construction information, error control information, and code direction information stored in the first and/or second code images.
L'invention concerne un code mixte, et un procédé et un dispositif pour son codage. Le code comprend une première zone d'image de code enregistrant une première image résultant du codage d'une première information au moyen de couleur, d'ombrage ou d'une combinaison des deux, et une seconde zone d'image de code enregistrant une seconde image résultant du codage d'une seconde information au moyen de couleur, d'ombrage ou d'une combinaison des deux. L'une ou l'autre ou bien les deux images traduisent les résultats du codage d'information d'interprétation, d'information de construction, d'information de contrôle d'erreur et d'information de direction de code. On établit le code mixte en réglant la différence de couleur et de luminosité entre les deux images à un niveau préétabli et en combinant ces images. L'invention concerne aussi un procédé et un dispositif pour le décodage de ce code, combinant deux images de code. Selon le procédé, on dispose d'une image de code mixte en recevant l'image originale qui contient l'image de code mixte et en éliminant le bruit de l'image originale. Ensuite, les couleurs, ombres et luminosités des pixels de l'image de code mixte sont classées par groupes sur la base d'un seuil préétabli, l'image de code mixte est divisée en première et seconde images de code, respectivement. Les deux images de code en question peuvent être décodées efficacement par décodage de l'information d'interprétation, l'information de construction, l'information de contrôle d'erreur et l'information de direction de code enregistrées dans la première et/ou la seconde image(s) de code.
