A system to allow a fluorescent lamp to be dimmed or otherwise improve color performance of the lamp while maintaining a constant spectral distribution In one embodiment, the lamp will dim in light output and not shift in color tempera-ture. An LED array is positioned under a fluorescent lamp such that its light injects back into the lamp that part of the color spec-trum that diminishes as a fluorescent lamp dims The LEO array is positioned centrally along the underside of the lamp The light from the LED is never directly visible but shines through the lamp, the lamp acting as a diffuser The brightness level of the LEDs can be determined as a preset level relative to a predetermined dim setting or can be regulated through an electronic monitoring sensor
La présente invention concerne un système qui permet de réduire l'intensité d'une lampe fluorescente ou, autrement, d'améliorer les performances de couleur de la lampe tout en maintenant constante une distribution spectrale. Dans un mode de réalisation, l'intensité de sortie de la lampe diminue mais la température de couleur ne varie pas. Un réseau de LED est placé sous une lampe fluorescente de telle sorte que sa lumière réinjecte dans la lampe la partie du spectre de couleur qui diminue à mesure que l'intensité de la lampe fluorescente diminue. Le réseau de LED est disposé centralement, le long du dessous de la lampe. La lumière dégagée par le réseau de LED n'est jamais directement visible mais elle brille à travers la lampe, la lampe agissant alors comme un diffuseur. Le niveau de luminosité des LED peut être déterminé comme un niveau prédéfini par rapport à un réglage de diminution d'intensité prédéterminé ou bien il peut être régulé par l'intermédiaire d'un capteur de surveillance électronique.
