An apparatus for dispensing articles is provided which comprises a housing (1) for retaining a circular, or substantially circular, medicament container (2), wherein the housing comprises a dispensing aperture (10) registerable with a single medicament cell (8) of the medicament container; and means for locking the medicament container in a locked, non-rotating dispensing position; wherein the medicament container comprises a plurality of medicament cells containing contents to be dispensed, and is moveable between a freely rotatable, non-dispensing position and the locked, non-rotating dispensing position such that when the medicament container is in the freely rotatable, non-dispensing position, the single medicament cell is out of registry with the dispensing aperture of the housing, and when the medicament container is in the locked, non-rotating dispensing position, the single medicament cell and the dispensing aperture of the housing are in registry, such that only contents contained in the single medicament cell may be dispensed therethrough.
L'invention concerne un appareil permettant de distribuer des articles et comprenant un boîtier (1) permettant de supporter un contenant de médicaments circulaire ou sensiblement circulaire, (2), le boîtier renfermant une ouverture de distribution (10) pouvant être alignée avec une cellule unique de médicament (8) du contenant de médicaments; ainsi que des moyens permettant de verrouiller le contenant de médicaments dans une position de distribution verrouillée et non rotative; le contenant de médicaments comprenant une pluralité de cellules de médicament renfermant des contenus à distribuer et étant mobile entre une position de non distribution en rotation libre et la position de distribution verrouillée et non rotative, de manière que lorsque le contenant de médicaments se trouve dans la position de non distribution en rotation libre, la cellule unique de médicament ne soit pas alignée avec l'ouverture de distribution du boîtier et que lorsque le contenant de médicaments se trouve dans la positon de distribution verrouillée et non rotative, la cellule unique de médicament et l'ouverture de distribution du boîtier soient alignées, afin que seulement des contenus renfermés dans la cellule unique de médicament puisse être distribués à travers celle-ci.
