A rafter clip for the purpose of retaining and/or fastening insulation between rafters or timber framework said rafter clip comprising a main body formed in a 'Y' shape which is generally flat and may have at least one hole for the purpose of receiving a nail or screw to fasten the clip to the rafter said body which may also be apertured and may have channels or recesses, perforations of flanges and teeth or a combination of all these formed in the body for strengthening and flexibility purposes.
