A diagnostic and testing apparatus and related methods for the use of the same are disclosed which derive and use antibodies to equine globin and hematin in testing apparatus, kits, and methods for detecting and localizing gastric and colonic ulcers in horses. Fecal droppings from a horse to be tested are placed in a large container together with a buffered liquid solution and mixed thoroughly, following which several drops of liquid from the container are placed into a test kit. Visual markers in the test kits signify the detection of the indicators hematin and equine globin, which are respectively indicative of the presence of gastric and/or colonic ulcers.
L'invention concerne un appareil de diagnostic et de test et des procédés associés pour l'utilisation de cet appareil, lesquels mettent en oeuvre la dérivation et l'utilisation d'anticorps contre la globine équine et l'hématine dans un appareil de test, des kits, ainsi que des procédés de détection et de localisation d'ulcères gastriques et du côlon chez les chevaux. Des matières fécales provenant d'un cheval et devant être testées sont placées dans un grand contenant avec une solution liquide tamponnée, puis complètement mélangées, avant que diverses gouttes de liquide provenant de ce contenant ne soient placées dans un kit de test. Des marqueurs visuels dans les kits de test indiquent la détection des indicateurs que sont l'hématine et la globine équine, indicatives respectivement de la présence d'ulcères gastriques et/ou du côlon.
