The invention concerns a database system comprised of several interconnected stations (10 1, 10 2, ... 10 n). Data input or updated at one originating station are saved at at least one other receiving station. Means are provided for data of known type to be saved synchronously or asynchronously at another station depending on whether or not a predetermined criterion is met. For example, data modified progressively are saved asynchronously before the completion of the modification and is saved synchronously at the completion of the modification. The said data can be routing data for a telecommunications system.

Les données introduites ou mises à jour dans une station d'origine sont sauvegardées dans au moins une autre station dite réceptrice. Des moyens sont prévus pour que des données d'une nature déterminée puissent être sauvegardées de façon synchrone ou de façon asynchrone sur une autre station selon qu'un critère préétabli est satisfait ou non. Par exemple, une donnée modifiée de façon progressive est sauvegardée de façon asynchrone avant la fin de la modification et est sauvegardée de façon synchrone à la fin de la modification. Une telle donnée peut être une donnée de routage dans un système de télécommunication.
