The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a pipe fitting, said method comprising manufacturing a preform (1) of plastic, and forming an additional layer (3) on top of it. According to the invention, the additional layer (3) is formed by winding a film on the preform until the desired total wall thickness is reached, and the film is wound using at the same time pretensioning in a desired direction. The invention further relates to a pipe fitting manufactured by this method.

Cette invention porte sur un procédé de fabrication de raccord de tuyauterie, consistant à mettre au point une préforme (1) en matière plastique et à appliquer une couche complémentaire (3) sur le dessus de celle-ci. On réalise, conformément à l'invention, la couche complémentaire (3) en enroulant un film sur la préforme jusqu'à l'obtention d'une épaisseur souhaitée, l'enroulement du film s'effectuant dans une direction souhaitée avec une prétension simultanée. Cette invention a, de surcroît, trait à un raccord de tuyauterie fabriqué grâce à ce procédé.
