Novel molybdenum complexes prepared by reacting (a) a fatty oil or ac- id, (b) 2-(2-aminoethyl)aminoethanol and (c) a molybdenum source are de- scribed. The molybdenum complexes impart antifriction, antioxidant, and antiwear properties to lubricating compositions and decrease fuel consump- tion in internal combustion engines using same.
