Abstract The lift platform (16) of a lifting apparatus (10) can be raised and lowered by means of an hydraulically ope- rated lifting device (12). The back rest (18) can be swivelled backwards and forwards by a swivelling means (19). A multi-valve housing (20) is connected via pres- sure lines (24, 26) to the lifting and swivelling de- vices (12, 19). A hydraulic water supply line (22) feeds hydraulic water to the multi-valve housing (20). The multi-valve housing (20) contains main valves for fill- ing or emptying the lifting and swivelling devices (12, 19). The multi-valve housing (20) is triggered by an ex- ternal manual control unit (30) via a flexible multiple line (28).
