A product comprising a lower alkyl ester of a lower aliphatic carboxylic acid is produced by a process comprising reacting a lower alkyl ether with carbon monoxide in the presence of a catalyst comprising mordenite and/or ferrierite, optionally including an additional framework metal such as gallium, boron and/or iron, under substantially anhydrous conditions. More specifically, methyl acetate is selectively produced by reaction of dimethyl ether with carbon monoxide in the presence of a catalyst comprising mordenite or ferrierite, under substantially anhydrous conditions.
L'invention concerne un produit comprenant un ester alkylique inférieur d'un acide carboxylique aliphatique inférieur obtenu par un procédé consistant à faire réagir du monoxyde de carbone en présence d'un catalyseur comprenant de la mordénite et/ou de la ferriérite, comprenant éventuellement un métal structurel supplémentaire tel que du gallium, du bore et/ou du fer, dans des conditions sensiblement anhydres. Plus spécifiquement, de l'acétate de méthyle est sélectivement produit par réaction d'oxyde de diméthyle avec du monoxyde de carbone en présence d'un catalyseur comprenant de la mordénite ou de la ferriérite, dans des conditions sensiblement anhydres.
