An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing metallic iron, in which after a mixture including a carbonaceous reducing agent and iron oxide is fed onto a hearth of a moving hearth reducing-melting furnace and is then heated so that the iron oxide is reduced and melted, metallic iron to be obtained is cooled and is then discharged outside the furnace for recovery. In the method described above, even when powdered metallic iron is squeezed into the surface of the hearth, or the hearth is damaged by slag infiltration and corrosion, the removal and repair can be easily performed, the operation rate and maintenability of the hearth can be improved, and hence a long continuous operation can be suitably performed. According to the present invention, metallic iron is produced by the steps of, prior to the feed of raw agglomerates, bedding a granular hearth material on the moving hearth for forming a layered renewable hearth, which can be renewed; removing part or the entirety of the renewable hearth, which was degraded during operation, and then newly feeding the hearth material for forming a new renewable hearth; leveling the surface of the newly formed hearth; and subsequently feeding the mixture.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de fer métallique dans lequel un mélange contenant un agent de réduction carboné et des oxydes de fer est alimenté sur la sole d'un four de fusion de réduction mobile et il est chauffé de façon à réduire et fondre l'oxyde de fer et le fer métallique résultant est refroidi et évacué ensuite à l'extérieur du four et récupéré. Ce procédé consiste à répandre à l'avance un matériau de sole de forme poudreuse ou granulaire sur toute la sole en une couche de façon à former une sole renouvelable, avant d'alimenter le mélange de matière première, à retirer une partie de la sole renouvelable ou toute cette sole ayant été détériorée dans le fonctionnement du four, à alimenter un nouveau matériau de sole de façon à renouveler la sole renouvelable, à mettre à niveau cette sole renouvelable puis, à alimenter le mélange susmentionné afin de produire le fer métallique. Ce procédé permet une extraction et une restauration facile, même si une poudre de fer métallique est enterrée dans la surface de la sole ou si la sole est infiltrée ou érodée par une scorie, ce qui permet une amélioration de la disponibilité et de la facilité de la maintenance de la sole et permet un fonctionnement continu de la sole pendant une longue période.
