The invention relates to a method for surface peening, particularly ultrasonic shot peening, of a component (22) in the region of a passage opening (24) in which a vibration device (10) impinging the blasting material is disposed on one side (18) and a counter- element (28) is disposed on an opposite side (26) relative to a component region (20) having the passage opening (24), in which the counter-element (28) is disposed at a distance relative to the corresponding side (26) of the component region (20). The invention also relates to a device for carrying out such a method.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de grenaillage de surface, en particulier de grenaillage par ultrasons, d'un composant (22) dans la zone d'une ouverture traversante (24), un dispositif vibrant (10), qui exerce un effet sur la grenaille, étant placé d'un côté (18) et un élément complémentaire (28) étant placé d'un côté opposé (26) par rapport à une zone (20) du composant présentant l'ouverture traversante (24). Selon l'invention, l'élément complémentaire (28) est placé à une certaine distance du côté correspondant (26) de la zone (20) du composant. L'invention concerne également un dispositif permettant la mise en oeuvre d'un tel procédé.
