The present invention provides a method for converting a feed containing oxygenates to olefins and comprises the following steps: providing a feed including an oxygenate; contacting the feed in a reactor apparatus with a catalyst including a molecular sieve, the contacting taking place under conditions effective to convert the oxygenate to a product including a light olefin, the conditions including a gas superficial velocity of at least two meters per second at least one point in the reaction zone; and recirculating a first portion of the catalyst to recontact the feed.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de conversion d'une charge contenant des oxygénates en oléfines et comprend les étapes consistant à fournir une charge contenant un oxygénate, à mettre la charge en contact dans un appareil réacteur avec un catalyseur contenant un tamis moléculaire, le contact ayant lieu dans des conditions efficaces pour convertir l'oxygénate en un produit contenant une oléfine légère, les conditions comprenant une vitesse superficielle de gaz d'au moins deux mètres par seconde au niveau d'au moins un point dans la zone de réaction, et à recycler une première partie du catalyseur afin d'obtenir un nouveau contact avec la charge.
