A method of disposing of vented gas from pumps driven from unprocessed natural gas. A first step involves installing a fuel supply line extending from a natural gas exhaust vent of a pump driven from unprocessed natural gas to a fuel gas inlet of a catalytic heater. A second step involves placing a surge reservoir along the fuel supply line to receive an intermittent discharge of natural gas from the natural gas exhaust vent of the pump and provide a constant supply of natural gas to the gas inlet of the catalytic heater.
