Skin care compositions containing dehydroacetic acid, its isomers, salts, and derivatives thereof; at least two skin care actives selected from sugar amines, vitamin B3 compounds, phytosterols, salicylic acid compounds, hexamidines, dialkanoyl hydroxyproline compounds, flavonoids, n-acyl amino acid compounds, and their derivatives, and combinations thereof; and a dermatologically acceptable carrier for the dehydroacetic acid and the skin care actives. The invention further relates to methods for regulating the condition of mammalian keratinous tissue wherein the methods each comprise the step of topically applying to the keratinous tissue of a mammal needing such treatment, a safe and effective amount of the skin care composition of the invention.
La présente invention concerne des compositions cosmétiques contenant, d'une part de l'acide déshydroacétique, ou certains de ses isomères, sels, et dérivés, et d'autre part au moins deux agents cosmétiques. Ces derniers appartiennent au groupe constitué des amines de sucre, des composés de vitamine B3, des phytostérols, des composés d'acide salicylique, des hexamidines, des composés de dialcanoyl-hydroxyproline, des flavonoïdes, des composés d'acide n-acyle-aminé, certains de leurs dérivés, et certaines de leurs combinaisons. Ces compositions contiennent également un véhicule dermatologiquement admis pour l'acide déshydroacétique et les agents cosmétiques. L'invention concerne également des procédés permettant la normalisation de l'état des tissus kératiniques. Ces procédés comportent tous une opération consistant en une application locale, sur le tissu kératinique du mammifère justifiant d'un tel traitement, une quantité suffisante et sans danger de la composition cosmétique de l'invention.
