The invention relates to a method for detecting and localising a fuel leakage in the engine of a multi-engine aircraft consisting in (a) determining a fuel consumption (L240, L244) for each aircraft engine, (b) in comparing the consumption of each engine with the other aircraft engines (38), (c) in determining the engine exhibiting the greater fuel consumption ratio (35, 45), in determining the excess consumption ratio (Q240, Q244) of said engine with respect to the other engines (38, 48), (e) in checking whether the excessive consumption is caused by a leakage (51 - 56) and (f) in triggering an alarm (59) if the step (e) is checked. A system for detecting and localising a fuel leakage in the engine of a multi-engine aircraft comprising an airborne computer for carrying out said method is also disclosed.
L'invention concerne un procédé de détection et de localisation d'une fuite de carburant dans un moteur d'un aéronef du type multi-moteur, comportant les opérations consistant à: (a) déterminer une consommation de carburant (L240, L244), pour chaque moteur de l'aéronef, (b) comparer la consommation de chaque moteur avec la consommation des autres moteurs de l'aéronef (38), (c) détecter le moteur ayant la plus forte consommation de carburant (35, 45), (d) déterminer un ratio de surplus de consommation (Q240, Q244) de ce moteur par rapport aux autres moteurs (38, 48), (e) vérifier si le surplus de consommation provient d'une fuite (51 - 56), et (f) si l'étape (e) est vérifiée, déclencher une alarme (59). L'invention concerne aussi un système de détection et de localisation d'une fuite de carburant dans un moteur d'un aéronef du type multi-moteur, comportant un calculateur d'aéronef mettant en AEuvre ce procédé.
