A device for combining tomographic images with human vision using a half- silvered mirror to merge the visual outer surface of an object (or a robotic mock effector) with a simultaneous reflection of a tomographic image from the interior of the object. The device maybe used with various types of image modalities including ultrasound, CT, and MRI. The image capture device and the display may or may not be fixed to the semi-transparent mirror. If not fixed, the imaging device may provide a compensation device that adjusts the reflection of the displayed ultrasound on the half-silvered mirror to account for any change in the image capture device orientation or location.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif qui associe les images tomographiques à la vision humaine au moyen d'un miroir semi-argenté qui permet de fusionner la surface externe visible d'un objet (ou un effecteur de simulation robotique) avec une réflexion simultanée d'une image tomographique depuis l'intérieur de l'objet. On peut utiliser ce dispositif avec diverses méthodes d'imagerie, notamment l'ultrason, la tomographie par ordinateur, et l'IRM. On peut fixer ou pas le dispositif de saisie d'images et le dispositif d'affichage sur le miroir. S'ils ne sont pas fixées, le dispositif d'imagerie peut comprendre un dispositif de compensation qui règle la réflexion de l'échographie affichée sur le miroir semi-argenté pour représenter tout changement d'orientation ou d'emplacement du dispositif de saisie d'images.
