A printer module for a compact printer system comprises a stationary printhead, an ink reservoir, a motive means and an image storing means, all housed within an elongate body. The motive means carries a printable media past the printhead which prints a full width image in a single pass. A power supply is also preferably housed within the elongate body. The body is preferably cylindrical and approximately the size of a large pen. The printhead is suitably a monolithic drop-on-demand inkjet printer.
L'invention concerne un module d'impression pour système d'imprimante compact, qui comporte une tête d'impression stationnaire, un réservoir d'encre, un mécanisme chariot et un dispositif de stockage d'images, tous logés dans un corps allongé. Le mécanisme chariot fait passer un support imprimable devant la tête d'impression, qui imprime une image pleine largeur en un seul passage. De préférence, une source d'alimentation en énergie est également logée dans le corps allongé. De préférence, le corps allongé est cylindrique et a environ la taille d'un grand stylo. Il est approprié que la tête d'impression soit du type monolithique à jet d'encre goutte à la demande.
