Compositions and methods for biomass conversion are provided. Compositions comprise novel enzyme mixtures that can be used directly on lignocellulose substrate. Methods involve converting lignocellulosic biomass to free sugars and small oligosaccharides with enzymes that break down lignocellulose. Novel combinations of enzymes are provided that provide a synergistic release of sugars from plant biomass. Also provided are methods to identify enzymes, strains producing enzymes, or genes that encode enzymes capable of degrading lignocellulosic material to generate sugars.
L'invention concerne des compositions et des procédés de conversion de la biomasse. Ces compositions comprennent de nouveaux mélanges d'enzymes qui peuvent être utilisés directement sur le substrat de lignocellulose. Les procédés décrits consistent à convertir la biomasse lignocellulosique en sucres libres et en oligosaccharides de petite taille au moyen d'enzymes qui dégradent la lignocellulose. L'invention concerne également de nouvelles compositions d'enzymes permettant de produire une libération synergique de sucres à partir de la biomasse végétale, ainsi que des procédés permettant d'identifier des enzymes, des souches productrices d'enzymes ou des gènes codant pour des enzymes capables de dégrader les matières lignocellulosiques pour produire des sucres.
