An annular clamping flange has a pair of flange portions co-operable with each other to form a pipe receiving aperture with each flange portion extending substantially half way around the aperture. Each flange portion has a transversely-extending U-shape with a base part and substantially parallel opposed clamping parts extending from the front and rear thereof. Each flange portion also has a substantially semi-circular recess forming half of the aperture, and the base part of each flange portion has a pair of bolt receiving apertures on opposite sides of the semi-circular recess.
