ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sucker rod assembly having migratory scrapers movable over the full length of the sucker rod shanks between the upsets or, opposite ends of the shank and fixed scrapers of the rod. Fixed scrapers having end portions to protect the rod against wear and abrasion above and below each fixed scraper body on migratory scrapers having internal stop surfaces engageable with one of the same configurations as the flared surfaces of the rod upsets.
