A process for preparing a substituted polyazamacrocycle is provided which comprises contacting a diamine or triamine and a dicarboxylic acid or ester or anhydride thereof in the presence of a suitable base and a suitable solvent to produce the substituted polyazamacrocycle provided that when an ester of said dicarboxylic acid is used, said suitable base is optional, and when said dicarboxylic acid or an anhydride of said dicarboxylic acid is used, the reaction mixture further comprises a suitable coupling agent.
L'invention décrit un procédé de préparation d'un polyazamacrocycle, qui consiste à mettre en contact une diamine ou une triamine et un acide dicarboxylique, ou un ester ou un ahnydride de celui-ci, en présence d'une base et d'un solvant appropriés afin de produire le polyazamacrocyle substitué, étant entendu que lorsqu'un ester dudit acide dicarboxylique est utilisé, ladite base appropriée est facultative et que lorsque ledit acide dicarboxylique ou un anhydride de celui-ci est utilisé, le mélange de réaction comprend en outre un agent de pontage approprié.
