The stent comprises a flexible self-expandable braided tubular wall 1 having a proximal segment 7 having an outer diameter 10, and a distal segment 11 having an outer diameter 14 smaller than the outer diameter 10 of the proximal segment. An intermediate segment 15 is formed between proximal and distal segments 7 and 11, which forms a truncated cone of which the base is forming the proximal end of the intermediate segment and of which the top is forming the distal end of the intermediate segment. A covering layer 18 is arranged within the tubular wall 1.
