Lubricating oil composition having a sulphur content of from 0.01 to 0.3 wt.%, a phosphorus content of from 0.01 to 0.1 wt.% and a sulphated ash content of from 0.1 to 1.2 wt.%, based on the total weight of the lubricating oil composition, which comprises a mineral and/or synthetic base oil and one or more compounds of formula (I), wherein R is an optionally substituted branched or straight chain alkyl group containing from 3 to 50 carbon atoms; R1 is hydrogen or an optionally substituted branched or straight chain alkyl group containing from 1 to 50 carbon atoms; n is an integer equal to or greater than 1, and m is also an integer equal to or greater than 1; and X is an integer from 2 to 10,000; and a method of improving engine cleanliness in diesel, gas- fuelled or gasoline engine applications using said composition.
Cette invention concerne une composition d'huile lubrifiante ayant une teneur en soufre comprise entre 0,01 et 0,3 % en poids, une teneur en phosphore comprise entre 0,01 et 0,1 % en poids et une teneur en cendres sulfatées comprise entre 0,1 et 1,2 % en poids, calculées sur la base du poids total de cette composition d'huile lubrifiante, laquelle contient une huile de base minérale et/ou synthétique et un ou plusieurs composés de formule (I), où R représente un groupe alkyle à chaîne droite ou ramifiée éventuellement substitué contenant 3 à 50 atomes de carbone ; R?1¿ représente hydrogène ou un groupe alkyle à chaîne droite ou ramifiée éventuellement substitué contenant 1 à 50 atomes de carbone ; n représente un nombre entier égal ou supérieur à 1, et m représente également un nombre entier égal ou supérieur à 1 ; et X représente un nombre entier compris entre 2 et 10000 ; ainsi qu'un procédé utilisant cette composition pour améliorer la propreté de moteurs diesels, à gaz ou à essence.
