Binding apparatus (10) for use with an item of sports equipment such as a skate board (16), the binding apparatus including a first part (11) adapted for attachment to an article of footwear and a second part adapted for attachment to the item of sports equipment (16), one of said first part and said second part including a protuberance and the other of said first part and said second part including a recess (18) adapted to receive therein said protuberance, the first and second parts also having complementary securing means (22, 43) for releasably securing said protuberance in said recess, said securing means being adapted to secure said protuberance in said recess upon said protuberance reaching therein a predetermined engagement.

Cette invention concerne un appareil de fixation (10) qui peut être utilisé avec différents articles sportifs tel qu'une planche à roulette (16). Cette appareil de fixation comprend une première partie (11) qui vient se fixer à une chaussure, ainsi qu'une seconde partie qui vient se fixer à l'article sportif (16).
